To my dark angel of the night
Always watching over me
Even when you're out of sight
May you always fly free

Though you yourself are a wounded soul
Never trusting and always in pain
You've proven you have a heart of gold
May your love never go on the wane

When you're hurting and lost
When tears threaten you
When you just can't stand the cost
When you're feeling so blue

Please let me be there for you
Even if just to give you loves
As you're always there for me too
Peaceful as a flight of doves

I wish you every happiness and joy
All the best this world can bring
For Christmas I wish your favorite toy
Let your heart do naught but sing

That heart that's made of gold
Is the world's highest treasure
If I may only be so bold
It's value knows not a measure

I wish for you your other could see
The you I see, the you I know
That he would only value thee
Then you would never want to go

So to you my angel I raise a glass
Of happiness and good cheer
So drink a toast and let it pass
