To My Dear Friend Poem by julio anzueto

To My Dear Friend

Rating: 4.0

The labor hours are over now, the day now allowes me time
to relax my soul, body, and mind. Dear friend the days of
childplay, immaturity, and irresponsability are behind but that is not
a matter of regret. the only regret in my life
is to have left behind my laughter, joy,
the love for life, and the want to live the next day. Here I have a roof
over my head, but this house is not only a home to me it also serves
me as a hidding place where i can hide my crying and in which all my
pains, fears, and sadly enough even wishes disappear, vanish into a
clow of illusions and happy memories from my home land.
I also own a car which is my horse whit which I scape to the outskirts
of this city where the waters of life become passive and allow one to
submerse every lasting remorse, and it's in those waters where my
weak soul rejuvenates and so do my body, mind, the love I have for life,
and my amazing want to live the next day. Sometimes the stress is too
much that my home can't hide my tears and my horse can't get me as
far away from this city as I would wish. regrets, remorse, stress, turn
life against my every decision, and the want to live
degenerates allowin in me a desire of ending the present day with the
simple promise of me resting in peace.

This is a letter written to a friend. The subject is a common one for a man away from his homeland. There is a poem of mine that I must recommend. It is called, LAMENTED LIFE. I suggest the writer read this. It may not apply directly, but I'm sure there is something there for him. This was a clear and vivid letter. Well done. GW62
