To My Dearest Shailaja Naiyar
My dearest Shailaja,
You have the kindest heart I've ever known,
And every moment with you feels like a beautiful dream.
No words are enough to describe your beauty,
Because your smile shines brighter than every compliment I can give.
One day I praised your lovely eyes,
Calling them graceful like fish gliding through clear water.
Then your pretty nose seemed to tease me,
'Don't forget me! '
So I smiled and said,
'You are as charming as a little red chilli—
Cute, bright, and impossible to ignore.'
Then your sweet lips spoke next,
'And what about us? '
I laughed and replied,
'They are sweeter than honey,
Soft enough to steal every word from my heart.'
As I admired every beautiful part of you,
I realized something.
No comparison in the world is good enough,
Because you are one of a kind.
So let me simply say this:
Shailaja Naiyar,
You are beautiful not only in appearance,
But in your heart, your smile, and your soul.
You are my happiness, my peace,
And my favourite reason to smile.
If I could choose a thousand times,
