To My Lovers: Be Kind Poem by John W. McEwers

To My Lovers: Be Kind

Tread light, my love
should you have avoided a glance
because my passion for you
lies not just in my pants

I've spread out for you
in all of its parts
the flat, cushioned landscape
of my unfettered heart

I offer now, to you,
as a show of good will,
to step 'cross my love zone
and graze till your fill

And if it would be
of convenience to you
you might also, just maybe,
graze that other zone, too?
