To My Students Poem by Kizhekepat Sankaran

To My Students

Rating: 5.0

I want to tell you
I am an average teacher with an extraordinary interest in teaching

I want to tell you
I will be impatient with you because I lack the strength of patience

I want to tell you
I may be harsh in words but soon I will forget what I have said

I want to tell you
I remember the face of the worst offender today only to forget it tomorrow

I want to tell you
I will grade you but you are not your grades

I want to tell you
That what I do gives me a glimpse of the expectant horizon

I want to tell you
That what you want to become would come true and see the light of sun
