I'll forever be grateful that I met you,
At least not for a very long time.
Know that I will be missing our everyday talks
And the after school walks...

I have to admit,
I've never had a guy walk with me that often after school
Which is why it made me question,
Why is it that you always smile and act cool?
Take it as a compliment
I enjoyed every bit of time we spent.

Even the times when you said I'm short
I disagree, I'm definitely taking you to court.
But jokes aside,
I like it when you smile so wide
Especially when you wait
And see me outside.

Thank you, by the way
For handing me one of your earbuds
For giving me keychains I never knew I needed
For holding the umbrella for me
And for letting me wear your paranoid glasses.

I thank you also
For all the informal debates
And the random updates
Know that I wouldn't trade it for any chocolates.

I sarcastically hate it
When you talk about things I love
Especially the color red and blue
And some sunsets.

This, I will always appreciate
When you remember little details about me
Even when at times you look nonchalant
But you care a lot actually.

By any chance,
If you need me
I suggest you should hug a tree.
Just kidding,
Know that you'll find me around,
Trust me.

And if somehow,
Time and people keep us apart
Don't forget to remember
We've been here since the start.

I know this poem sounds a bit too cliché
But I mean everything in any way.
I know that this is rare,
That I wouldn't find another Dong K out there,
So I treasure this moment while it's still here.
