To Solve Subway Overcrowding Poem by Alma F. Martin

To Solve Subway Overcrowding

I am glad to have made your day
I am happy to rescue you this way.

Onward you shall go with a smile
from here on out & remember a while

That when others cross your boundar-ies
You shall rest & sit at ease

And remember to gently smile
at the perpetrator for a while

And then with a sigh and innocent heart
shall you produce forth a resounding fart...

Oh how your troubles shall quickly fly

in haste, I say, in haste it shall be
Right out the door, the whole sub shall flee.

And you alone, alone shall sit
and solely contemplate your great wit.
