To Agree To Disagree Poem by Alma F. Martin

To Agree To Disagree

Alike, we are, I do see
I have met my match, but cannot agree

with the belt or physical force
under age 5, I cannot resort.

If they are taught from birth you see,
to respect & honor all others - both you & me

there will be no need for injury's way
but only a look will prevent their day

from harming others & themselves
and becoming a Columbine criminal from Hell.
