To Stand Poem by Eli Anderson

To Stand

In the silence of the minute
My new experiences
Cut me from the fear,
And freed me from my,
Life.

I saw my sons
In their future and
In their past,
Enjoying me.

I knew at once that
My feelings,
Were of no consequence.
To live with my tears and,
Their laughter
In what happens now.

No experience is sacred.
But the memory is precious,
The smell is comforting,
The laughter is timeless.

In that one minute of
Silence
I saw my future
Without fear.
And for the first time;
Stood as a warrior.

I invite you to close your eyes,
With me.
Pick your fear, and;
Live.
