To The Fair Lady Of Night Poem by Amazu Donaldmario Ifeanyi

To The Fair Lady Of Night

So where in me is left to dust
When night turns day and love to lust
But stars do peep and learn as you
Then play their tune so mild and true

But bless this night of me and you
That we as one may lay not two
And bless the eyes that stare with long
And kiss so blue with blessed tongue

And there fair one, the darkness wears
How much i've longed your touch and cares
By night my mind O wordless script
Afresh by day the passions felt

But where in me is then unknown
When light'd my night with wish and miss
I jumped and gaze and jumped and gaze
But vain in vain my strives become

Oh come dear one, behold my night
For when with you my crescent night
Will grow avast like august night
And then my day is left to dust.
