To The Lord My Prayer Poem by Randy McClave

I now recite to the Lord my Prayer
Because Lord I know you are always there,
Please forgive me for the sins that I do commit
And for my salvation Lord, please do not forget.
Please forgive me for swearing and false swearing
And also for ignoring others and not caring,
Please forgive me for the false promises that I made
And for forgiveness of those sins, I have already prayed.
Please forgive me lord for taking your name in vain
And please forgive me for causing you that pain,
Please God forgive me for lying, cheating and stealing
And please forgive me for not helping or healing.
Please forgive me for the bad things that I say or did
As I know lord nothing from you can ever be hid,
And when I do something that you didn't want me to do
Please God, please forgive me for that too.
Lord truly I love you more than anything
Unto you always I will give you praise and it I will sing,
And when I have talked behind a brother's back
Please lord also forgive me for that act.
When lies and hate precedes to my lips through a lung
Please God, please silence my tongue,
Please Lord watch over me tonight, tomorrow and everyday
In Jesus's name, I now lay down after I pray.
