To The Slaughtered Sheep Poem by Richmon Rey Jundis

To The Slaughtered Sheep

Faultless and innocent
You were sacrificed,
In exchange for
What they thought
Something greater
Than your meekness.

Silent tears flowed down
When dagger slits your throat.
No sound of complain
Can be heard from you.

You suffered but no one knows,
In silence you combat the pain
For you have the kind heart
And humility within.
