I wish I could be
blind to everything
that haunts me

I wish I could be deaf
to all your false words

I wish I could hold my tung
to speaking out

but my wishes
will never come true
because
to wish is to hope
hope for something better
wish for a different life
I hope and wish
I had the mind
to do what's right
