To You I Belong (Sonnet #271) Poem by Tina Baaklini

To You I Belong (Sonnet #271)

My tender soulmate, sometimes I wonder,
Do you treasure the poems I pen for you?
Each word is a scented red rose of summer,
Each line is infused by my soul to you.

Between these lines I wrote to you love songs,
Epic love stories, even symphonies.
In each word my heart says, 'To you I belong, '
And my soul whispers, 'Your love is my glory.'

But more poems are yet to come, sweet love,
In my heart sonnets await to be born,
Of your love I'll speak to the stars above,
To light up the sky as never before.

Do you feel my longing, my endless dream?
Do you hear my soul whisper through love's stream?
