to Your Words I Add Wtih Zest - Poem by David McLansky

To your words I add wtih zest
Supporting fully your request,
We the writers, artists, hacks,
Yearn for comments and feedback,
A simple word, a kindly phrase,
It needn't be exalting praise,
It can even be a critique attack,
Reveling in our talent's lack.
Just don't say anything about my mother;
They're very sensitive, my mobbed-up brothers.

    Hey, this is molto funny! I haven't laughed so hard since that time I left a horse's head in your Mama's bed. (Report) Reply
