I saw you from across the room today
My heart beat faster with every glance
At the sound of your voice
I felt my face redden
While I fell short of breath
There’s something about you
That makes these things happen
Wonderful things
We sat there and talked
For only a moment
Yet it felt like forever
Time passed too quickly
We were parted once more
As you walked away
I longed to call out to you
Somehow you knew I wanted you to stay
Yet knew that you couldn’t
So you turned around
Bade me goodbye, and with a nod of your head
And a wink of your eye
You were gone yet again
Now as I sit here
I long to hear your sweet voice again
And look into those beautiful eyes of green
While floating away into a sea of bliss
