Today's Youngsters Are Smart Poem by Dr John Celes

Today's Youngsters Are Smart

God grant my child, a partner for life, good!
Well-talented children deserve the best;
The world has changed a lot and youngsters too;
They want to see how vast the world appears.

Nothing is unattainable to them;
They take all risks to succeed in their life;
To stay independent on earth is prime;
To travel far and wide is their first love.

They don't mind leaving parents though old-aged;
They love to do the things their heart tells them;
Advice is what they frown upon though wise;
They're birds who hate the cage, and being caged!

Their earthly life is meant for bliss, not woes;
They want to be a master of their fate;
They have the final say in arguments;
Nothing deters their actions, decisions.

But smart are children born these days on earth;
Just left alone and they will shine with time;
Their confidence levels are very high;
They know the world they live in well and climes!
