Today's Generation Poem by Dr John Celes

Today's Generation

Rating: 5.0

Each one wants to have his way;
No one wants to condescend;
Each one has his/ her ego;
This is how on earth life goes.

No one understands the next;
Each one stays on his view-point;
Misunderstanding is rife;
Argumentation - all love.

Each one stays so adamant;
Words of kindness aren't spoken;
Life goes mechanically;
Enquiry of next is rare.

Blame your attitude for things;
Hearts can't forgive their brethren;
Forgotten's life's transience;
Mundane worries fill the hearts.

Precious time for all gets lost;
Money gets spent in ways so vain;
Charity is something rare;
Neighbors stay as strangers/ foes.

Yes. The so called modern age seems to be successful in inculcating robotics in the mind of gen next as a result of which human sensitivities are drying-up and people are behaving in accordance with principles of mechanics. The virtual world created by cybernetics is dominating human mind. The beautifully penned thought provoking and insightful poem portrays the correct picture. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
