Together - Poem by Courtney Beaudry

His head laid up against mine
Our hearts beating, keeping perfect time
He breathed in, I breathed out
Nothing else seemed cared about
My hair in his face
My heart beating at a rapid pace
Eyes closed thinking very hard
Of the sweet little love cards
His hand was tenderly placed upon mine
Anything better, I've yet to find
He turned to look at me
My face, the only thing he could see
My eyes staring into his eyes
And I uttered a meek little 'hi'
And he leaned in close
Our feelings showed
He kissed me, so sweetly
And I was defeated
I gave in
Let it flow in
And I gave him a big smile
And hoped he'd stay awhile
