Tokyo Dreams Poem by Joaquin Perez

Tokyo Dreams

What a nice day in Tokyo, snapping pictures of temples,
Then I went to a rock bar, the sound made me tremble.
Night out in kabukicho, just to meet up with a man,
Picked me up from a night bar with his old 80s sedan.

My head out the window looking through violet Tokyo skies.
Having fun with a stranger while getting lost in bright Tokyo lights.
But fun didn't happen, I was just Tokyo dreaming.
I guess I'm deluded from wanting japanese cupid.

He said I was stupid with hideous included,
Now when I look back at Tokyo everything seems polluted.
