Tomboy Poem by Lorene Kinsey

Tomboy

Wrestled as most buddies do
Grunting, elbowing and head butting too
All of us were taking turns
And I was winning as often he
Allowed, but then my gloating
Had gotten him roused and quickly,
I rolled from up to down
On his bed and flat on my
Back, I knew I had lost
As I panted and laughed.
Hands still pressing, my shoulders then
Suddenly released, as all turned away
And I looked down to see that on my shirt,
Every button had popped free
revealing my pink jockey.
