Tomorrow Poem by adam stevens

Tomorrow

it keeps our spirits lifted,
keeps our thoughts distracted
that there'll be a different tomorrow one
a better day
That's what they want you to say
Don't dwell on the past
just watch it go by fast
A drug for the addicted
that's what tomorrow is
A silly dream, a misguided hope
at the edge of a pit, it's a dangling rope
To pull you out
to silence your shout
Of rage, of pain, of frustration
But it's going to be just more of today.
