Tomorrow Poem by Elvis Addae

Tomorrow

Once we were there
The happiness we couldn't bear
The smiles we did share
And even though the night
Our vision was fair

Now I am here
Representing the past
With my faith as a spear
Soon it will pass
The atmosphere full of dust
The unending pain of now
Will simplify my frown into smile

My tomorrow I don't know
Whether the dark or white as snow
But it's my deepest hope of a wow
When today will go
And it will surely please the heart of the soul
On the day I shall grow.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A flashback into the good old days
In comparison to the present which seems not cosy
And a hope that tomorrow will make much sense
