Tomorrow's Past Poem by Ralph Embree

Tomorrow's Past

Be careful in your friendships;
Be wary of your thrills,
For when the pitcher overflows,
Is the extra all that spills?

Though now it may be pleasant,
Remember it will last.
Today, it's just the present,
But tomorrow, it's the past.

Once you've done a foolish deed,
You cannot try again,
So check yourself and then proceed,
Mending while you can.

Learn from past mistakes.
Don't be careless anymore;
For today is that tomorrow
That yesterday ignored.
