Tomorrow's Memory Poem by Tony Cemaluk

Tomorrow's Memory

Rating: ★5.0

We Seek In Tomorrow, A Distant Light,
A Love, A Hope, A Desire Burning Bright.
But It Lived Before, In Yesterday's Solo Song,
In Yesterday's Big Bliss,
In Yesterday's Narrow Neglect,
In Yesterday's Willful Waste -
In Days We Had, Where We Belonged.

We Hold Today, But Miss The Art,
Unprepared, Unseeing With Our Heart.
For What Was Whole, We Let Astray,
And Chase The Future On Feeble Feet, Far Away.

Not Knowing Yesterday Still Abides,
In Quiet Corners Where Memory Hides.
For What We Yearn In Tomorrow's Gleam,
Was Yesterday's Torn Truth,
And Today's Doomed Dream.
