Tongues Of Flame Poem by Alexander Wojno

Tongues Of Flame

The sublime, lucent beauty of fire
Is as mysterious as it is arcane
The abysmal molten web is strewn
As writhing tongues lick in vain
Prey wrapped in burning blankets, a death note sang pensive
The frenetic blaze carves its path strewn crimson shells alight, scattered free
Archaic moans reverberate throughout the wretched field
As almighty flame pounds his deathly blow
Unbeatable, hell risen
