Tonight Poem by Connie Tallada

Tonight

It's past twelve but I'm still awake
Everybody's gone to bed but I can't sleep
The midnight crickets started their melodies
But I'm still up fighting the cold breeze.

I don't want to close my eyes tonight
Inside the darkness I'm searching for the light
I have lot of thoughts and puzzles to solve
I have lot of plans that I need to prove.

The moment of silence just like this
Is a perfect time to outline my every pace
Inside the corners of my room I started to build
The dreams of tomorrow that I must filled.

The next morning of my life cannot be settle
And I must prepare myself for the battle
The field is too dangerous and tricky
I must win this race of life's reality.
