Tonight, My Shattered Heart Speaks Poem by Aman Basnet

Tonight, My Shattered Heart Speaks

I sat alone beneath a sky adorned with stars,
beside the endless silence of the water.
The world surrendered itself to peaceful sleep,
yet my heart remained painfully awake.

The moon revealed my reflection,
and for the first time, I truly saw—
not the smile I offered to the world,
but the sorrow I concealed within my soul.

They said,
*'A heart can never speak, '*
but they had never listened
to a heart burdened with years of silence.

My heart was a warrior,
fighting battles hidden from the world.
It wore its armor with pride,
covering scars that no one ever noticed.

For years, it protected me.
It endured every storm,
held back every tear,
and whispered to the world—

*'I am fine.'*

But tonight...

**Tonight, My Shattered Heart Speaks.**

*'Do you know how many times I smiled
while storms were raging within me? '*

*'Do you know how many wounds I concealed
just to find the strength to move forward? '*

I looked at my heart and asked—

*'Why are you breaking now?
After surviving everything before? '*

And my heart quietly replied—

*'I survived because I was strong,
not because I was never wounded.'*

The water remained silent.
The stars continued their eternal glow.
But for the first time,
I allowed myself to truly listen.

Every scar carried a forgotten story.
Every wound carried an unheard voice.
Every hidden pain
was waiting for the moment to be understood.

It was never a sign of weakness.

It was a warrior finally resting
after a battle that nobody witnessed.

Tonight, the moon became my witness.
The stars became my companions.
And the silence became my refuge.

Because tonight...

**My shattered heart
finally found its voice.**
