Too Hard Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Too Hard

Too hard

In news of Iran
-saw photo of a man
-with handcuffs tied his hands
-though is not convicted
-simply arrested as victim

A soldier is his guard
-openly moving him
-in public transport

And I know
-is too hard

I have walked the same line
-a tightrope same as him
-taken in
-city of memories
-a port in Persian Gulf
-namely Bandar Abbas

Innocent but oppressed, lost my life
-thanks to the evilness of mullahs
-corruptions, connections
-file, case, is with me
-I must take care of it
-make a book out of it

The man is in metro
- (or subway)
-embarrassed
-red his face
-because of bad system
-that takes him to the court
- (poor man is powerless)

And maybe as I was
-be released, innocent

Cruel are such rulers
-in Iran with claims
-in the name of Islam…
