Too Late(?) Poem by Daniel Zore

Too Late(?)

Rating: 4.0

One-world government—empire.
That’s where we are headed.
The few will control the air, water, earth and fire,
and what is worse, the people will let it
happen and do nothing.
Then they will be running and hiding.
when their freedoms are taken.
When it’s too late they will awaken.

Some will try to fight;
new weapons, but just like the old days.
They will be destroyed on sight—
conventional bullets and heat rays.
Implanted chips to watch their moves,
they’ll need it just to have a roof.
Still working to make others rich.
Disobey and they’ll hit the switch.

Some will speak out
through their fingertips on the electric net
but they can be easily tuned out—
government lies, media controlled, people forget.
Accustomed to the rules
they will be made into fools
fighting each other, creating division
so they can conquer, and establish a one-world religion.

My words come to late.
This is not a warning. This is not a call.
Because at the current rate
soon enough the few will own it all.
Just brace yourself,
there is more to fear than fear itself.
You can behave, you can try to be brave,
either way they’ll try to make into a slave.
