Too Late To Let Go Poem by Bamigboye Olurotimi

Too Late To Let Go

Now I'm in love with someone I love,
Who gives me all the attention I need,
Showering me with care and gifts,
Holding me the way I love.

My soul clings to him all the time,
My body rubs on his day and night,
I see him every time in my dream,
I want him every time by my side.

I rejected my family because of him,
I turned my back to good friends to be with him,
My breast has now become toys in his hand,
My virginity I gave to him by myself.

I am happy that the best in life has come to me,
My dreams have come to pass,
I'm now swimming in the ocean of love,
Dinning on the table of care,
Relaxing on the pillow of trust.

To my greatest surprise,
I just woke up from a long sleep and discovered that all has been in a dream,
It is now too late to let go of what I want,
Too late to accept the reality of life,
Too late to accept that all I saw was in the dream I had.
