Too Much Agony Poem by Jennifer Rose

Too Much Agony

Rating: 5.0

Why did you come back?
To reopen my scab?
To say sorry for the millionth time?
To say it'll never happen again?
Are you really in love with me?
Do you even know me?
I sat and cried,
after witnessing you forgetting me,
surrounded by your perscriptions.
Names of drugs I can't even remember,
or comprehend.
It hurt time and time again to the core.
Heart throbbing with anxiety,
Did you see your effect on me?
I never cried so much before.
Is it cause no one else can accept you?
Is it another lie?
You made me less ignorant and naive.
I should have known from the begining.
I openly gave my attention, love, care, and trust.
You broke each one,
then said sorry like it could be fixed.
My wound aches as you reappear,
after so long.
Why did you come back?
