one man alone

Torn - Poem by one man alone

take my mind and free my soul
I said take my mind and free my soul
you love me or you hate me
as my thoughts begin to fall

I'm standing with a frown
when looking back at you
people look away
from the words that just ring true

kids are taking drugs
there dying like my brother
and the government they don't care
for to soon there'll be another

sex is sold in streets
while drugs are sold in silence
but the world just carrys on
while a life is took in violence

this system which we follow
keeps on failing to perform
while they stand in parliament
another childs soul getting torn

so I say take my mind and free my soul
from this place that we call home
for the truth is there to see
inside the child who feels so torn
