Torn Memories Poem by Authoetess Aanvi

Torn Memories

Hugged air on the face,
Crayons showing magic on the walls,
Dear Diaries in abandoned journals,
Toys carrying broken magic.

The houseful aroma spreads,
Throngs come and go,
A tiny memory etched here,
That would soon forget with the fresh others.

A hand fan broken,
A junk drawer utterly ridiculous,
Ink splatters on the table,
Scratches on the bed from nails.

Dolls are made braids,
A marathon but for a car race,
Toy people enjoying at a park,
And we? Tiring ourselves to sleep.

With a touch of tiny fingers,
The impossible childhood dream to live now,
We wait till other hands fill it up,
With the places that were once ours...
