Torrential Sunshine Poem by Angela Wybrow

Torrential Sunshine

This morning, as I awoke from dreaming,
Radiant sunshine was busily streaming
In through my bedroom window,
Bathing me in its warm, golden glow.

My heart felt happy; my soul felt light,
Seeing the sun shining so bright;
The birds were singing high in the trees,
And I could feel the hint of a soft, summer breeze.

The world around me was soaked in sun:
Bright, sunny days had finally come.
The rays of sun sprinkled their joy
On every woman, man, girl and boy.

Flakes of sun were pouring on down -
Bringing out smiles; banishing frowns;
Waves of warmth lashed down on the land,
Giving low spirits a much needed hand.

A deluge of delicious, dazzling sun,
Descended on us and fuelled much fun;
Beautiful sunbeams burst from the sky,
Sending folks' spirits soaring sky high.

A monsoon of magnificent glittery sun,
Sparkled and sparkled, and cheered everyone;
It really was the most perfect of days,
With torrential sunshine all of the way.
