Life springs a surprise on folks who dare
To shift a goalpost gift and declare
Their ambition to blast a glass ceiling
When feelings jump to the fore dealing
A fatal blow to an unpaid fare

A revenue authority declares unfair
On account of faulty records where
Figures presented have no meaning
Cos life spring a surprise

On lovers and partners who care
To entwine their hearts with fanfare
Despite tweets that with no inkling
Blabber in vain despite healing
Breaking through in total repair
Cos life springs a surprise.
