Touched Poem by Sandra Black

Touched

Someone touched me today
From the depth of my soul
Arose a tingle
& my cares were merrily kissed away

Smoothened my wrinkled skin
Massaged my worries away
Kneaded my creaky bones
Touched and made it whole

Supple and soft they are now
All of my epidermis
It has been cleansed and treated
Now nothing is amiss

My soul is young and blithe
He has been a delight
Can no more say I haven't been without
Pampered as I have been within

His words alone have caressed me
For a year and a day
He alone has kept me happy
On those depressing days

Now I have been touched
I feel something amiss
Cause when he would touch me
It would be pure bliss
