Tough Sensitivity Poem by Diana van den Berg

Tough Sensitivity

I was born in the sunshine
at the beginning of summer
so my passion for life
knows no bounds.
I refuse to be contained
by the pessimism
or the poison
or the lies
or the sick soul
of anyone.
I am nobody’s prisoner.
