Tower Over My Heart Poem by Daniel Miltz

Tower Over My Heart

As always, our affection was sweet
Similar to daisies gliding in the breeze
In wintertime, our love was warm
It overshadowed from fingers to toes
If skies were blue, our adoration was delicate
Two individuals, moving in the sun
If thunder moved, our devotion was quiet
A shelter from the falling precipitation
When spring blossoms sprout
Our adoration was intense
Similar to red petals on the orchid
When pre-winter leaves fall
Our affection was gold, sparkling brilliant
Like a gather bloom
From season to season
I cherished you forever
My one, my lone, my infatuation
You are a tower over my heart
