Tower, Tower, Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Tower, Tower,

Tower, tower,
Tower alone stands
In the high African mounts
Heights giddying
Among stars and moons
But by Wisdom above all
Therefore I shall term
Tower of Wisdom,
Sacred
Unique
And observer of the spells
On lone nights where music be
That be sound of winds
Round, round clustering
And the rocks be haunted, dream
And the winds the hauntings spread
And sacred legends to mounts wed
Till Wisdom to cease make sign.
