Toxic Fantasy Poem by robyn selters

Toxic Fantasy

His words sting
echoing through corridors
darkened by hate

Of ones who rent
bodies for pittance
souls treated like freight

Filling the fantasy
of hostile men
using ‘love’ as bait

Words that chide
‘Don’t show the truth
Please just wait

And it will pass’
as whitewashed walls
smother their fate

Well done, stripping away any pretense of sensuality, your poem paints it's subject in the unflattering glare of naked light bulb on ' whitewashed walls '.
