-Trapped-
There is no escape for the likes of us.
The likes of me.
Those hidden beyond the veil.

Endless cyles.
Round and round.
No escape for us.
No end for me.
Round and round we go.

Not bright enough to light a candle,
Not enough spark to start a fire.
The fire is to fade soon anyway,
and the smallest of sparks will too disappear.

Squashed like a orange.
Ground up is the citrus,
Until no goodness remains.
Yes you get the juice, but what of the peel and pips?

They are left, whilst the juices taken.
Now they lie used yet useless.
The fresh succulent life gone.
What remains are the shell and the remnants.

The damage can not be undone once the spirit is drained.
One the light is out it is over.
Never again will hope cross those irises.
Never again will they see sparks.
