Travelogue
I've climbed mountains
sailed in distant seas
Ive felt the sun and the rain
the kiss of every breeze.
I've been to the deserts
and drunk from many an oasis
I've slept in the wilds of jungles
camped in tents asleep in peace.
I've talked to strangers
from West to East
learnt from their every story
their toils and their ease.
I've heard so many songs
as unknown realms I did traverse
had joined peoples over exotic meals
as they spoke in finest verse.
I've loved every adventure
heard tales of heroism and sacrifice
swept away by men's noble deeds
and touched by the pain of teary eyes.
When I'm thrust into the last night
I'll say: With my life I'm satisfied
both sorrows and joys have come my way
I'll feel that I've lived well and right
