Treasure Island Poem by Bruce David

Treasure Island

What pain?
What thrill?
What cause?
or lust?
Robbed you from
That sacred trust?

I don't know!
But yet I care.
when I see you in despair
When I see your tired face
Your sharp remarks
Your stiffness.

O island that stands alone
What need have you
for water, earth, or God?
