Trees Of Life Poem by JAM Torio

Trees Of Life

Here I am, sitting, standing and just lurking
Feeling the breeze of the wind while I'm bending
By far, you could see me standing
The mighty and still holding

I woke up in my deep sleep
From the pain that I have feeling
It's not cause by my leaves that's falling
But by the people who cut me and leave me dying

Alone, bended, broken and burnt
I did not know those feeling until I was hurt
For a thousand years I have become their almost-- home, friend, companion
But in a blink of an eye everything turn uptight

Now, I only wish for my roots
To become the might and tall tree
Like what they expect us to be
Even though in the first place, they are one who's killing me---and the life that they called tree.
