Treetops Poem by Michael Arthur

Treetops

When little,
climbing trees was easy
as can be.
My body now changed by things that grew within me
I couldn't reach.
My skinny limbs aren't as strong,
no handholds
in knowing storms shall try
my dignity.
As forgiveness looks
for a firm grip.
