Everybody sleeps, in eternal rest,
In time the lease on borrowed life expires;
Lord, may our Mary finds her place that's best,
Eternally at peace, unknown from fires;
She lived with grace, a joy for hearts and minds,
A light to where she may chose to abide,
And Lord, we pray, your Graciousness soon finds,
Her gentle soul, that's always been our pride;
Were she obliged to heed that final call,
As angels, too, did want to hear her scripts,
And glory there, in Heaven's august hall,
So far away removed from earthly crypts?
But, oh, though her corporeal form departs,
Her statue stands so tall, within our hearts.
