Trophy Hunter Poem by Vattakkatt Premchand

Trophy Hunter

Rating: 5.0

Trophy Hunter

I hear your cry; blood curdling cry,
Piercing my ears, in a thousand decibel
I see you lying there, in this savannah,
Lying on a rock, screaming for help.

I see neither pride or valor but terror,
Utter fear in your cowardly eyes,
I see your plight, your fight in vain to
Wriggle out from that pouncing, roaring Lion

You call yourself, a brave hunter.
So called modern Trophy Hunter.
You hunt down beautiful animals
For your pure cruel fun.

you take so much pride in
displaying your trophies
neatly and artistically
all over your hallways

You say, you are an animal lover
Sad you like them dead than alive.
You love, Bull elephants and Grizzly Bears
But, your true love, love wasfor mighty Lions,

Hunting a lion was your everyday dream.
After bending some rules and
Bribing your ways,
Access you gained, to go near your prey

Your face lit up with a beaming big smile,
As you got closer to that mighty Lion,
Winning and losing are part your game
Sadly, now, you are a loser, after losing your aim
