Troubled Soul Poem by Musa Mswenko Mvumvu

Troubled Soul

Mind braces misguided by presumed love
Trying to come to terms & acknowledge what seems to be
with every single beat the heart makes, brings a smile
Leaning against the wall to seek what needs to be

In his sleep laying there, dreaming & grasping for air
With a grip of thoughts escalates a drip of tears
brooding in the dark in the quest & in search of love and happiness
Blooming like a flower though trying to endure the pain inside

At times it seems like he chewed more than he can handle
Troubled soul on his own, bemused yet saddened by this occurrence
Picking up the pieces left, wishing to vanish like thin air

But chances are, if that happens he might commit suicide. all for what, love that wasn't even there?
