Trucker Poem by Dawn Keller

Trucker

Rating: 3.5

Eighteen wheeler rolls down the highway
Going from place to place
We keep America moving
From New York to the mountains of California.

Never knowing where we may stop
We drive along a long dark highway
From city to city
Back roads to highway

We spin our wheels
Making deliveries everywhere
Spending nights far away
By keeping our rolling wheels

Never knowing where we may stop
We drive along a long dark highway
From city to city
Back roads to highway

Never knowing when we will get home again
Our loved ones understand
Life is a highway one day at a time
Rolling on as each day grows long

Never knowing where we may stop
Cities come and go
But Life keeps moving on
